Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 addresses batteries across their lifecycle. Applicable requirements depend on battery category and the relevant implementation dates. A battery-powered device needs assessment of both the battery and the finished product. Documentation, labelling and producer-responsibility questions should be scoped separately.
